We had the first stocking of rainbow trout on the 2nd March, lovely fish from Westmill, at Blairgowrie so hopefully they have settled in.
We have our first competition of the season on the 15th March, first fish, heaviest fish of the day, – members are asked to bring a friend, and there is a junior prize for the heaviest fish. We hope that the 20,000 OVA which were stocked in December have been successful in growing on in the burns.
Projects – We have a applied for funding to start up grading the facilities for phase 1 – wheel chair access, we are planning to lay pathways to allow access to the boats and the boat shed guest area. Phase 2 is to build a new sheltered jetty and boat shed to allow easy access to the boats.
